China's Ministry of Transport elevated its typhoon defence response to level II at 09:00 on Aug 8. Typhoon No.13 White Dolphin, classified as a strong typhoon, was centred at 09:00 about 520 km east‑southeast of Wenzhou, Zhejiang, over the southern East China Sea, and is moving westward at roughly 10–15 km/h with intensity holding steady or slightly increasing.
