Micron plans a large equipment investment to raise supply of its latest-generation HBM4 12-layer product, targeting up to 60,000 wafers/month of additional HBM capacity by year-end. Micron's HBM output was about 40,000–50,000 wafers/month last year, so the planned capacity would more than double last year's production.
