South Korea plans to issue up to 222.8 trillion won (about $162.7 billion) of bonds in 2027, near this year's record, under the government’s 2027 budget plan. Of the total, 110.7 trillion won is earmarked to repay maturing debt and 15.9 trillion won for buybacks and market operations, implying net issuance of roughly 96.3 trillion won.
