China's Ministry of Water Resources said a landslide-dammed lake formed near the confluence where Nepal’s Cuojian River enters China’s Puzhepuqiang Zangbu after a debris flow on Aug. 26. Satellite imagery at 07:38 on Aug. 29 showed the lake surface at 99,000 sq m, down 5,000 sq m from 12:00 on Aug. 28 and down 21,000 sq m from Aug. 27, indicating the dam is slowly overtopping and water volume is decreasing.
