Government data show Argentina's daily oil production in July exceeded 916,000 bpd, up 17.2% YoY, a record. Vaca Muerta accounted for the bulk of the rise: July oil output from the field exceeded 643,000 bpd (+26.4% YoY) and gas output reached 96.5 million cu m/day (+5.9% YoY). Vaca Muerta in Neuquén province is the country's principal shale oil and gas basin. Argentine media say crude has become one of Argentina's main exports year-to-date.
