YONHAP reports SK Group chairman Chey Tae-won has filed a further appeal against a court order to pay 944 billion won (about $668 million) in a divorce property settlement. Chey submitted the appeal on the 14th to the Family Division 1 of the Seoul High Court, which was directed to rehear the case after the Supreme Court in October overturned the original judgment and remanded it. Legal circles say a reversal of the remand outcome is unlikely; some observers say the renewed appeal appears aimed at buying time to raise the payment and avoid late-payment interest.
