PHILIPPINE C.BANK Governor Eli Remolona said slowing economic growth means the bank will not pursue as aggressive a pace of rate hikes, but policymakers still need to see a more convincing decline in inf before easing policy. The Philippines now has among Southeast Asia’s weakest growth and highest inf; a recent corruption scandal has dented market confidence and the Iran conflict has added to price pressures.
