The EIA expects U.S. commercial crude inventories to remain below the five‑year low for the comparable 2021–25 period through the end of 2026. Inventories have fallen since mid‑April amid higher exports, lower imports and elevated refinery runs. Strong international demand for U.S. crude means net U.S. crude imports are forecast to stay below average through 2027.
