NBS urban statistics chief statistician Dong Lijuan said July national CPI fell 0.1% MoM, a narrowing of 0.2 percentage points from June. International price swings drove domestic gasoline down 10.7% MoM — a 5.8ppt larger decline than in June — subtracting about 0.35ppt from July MoM CPI. AI-led product upgrades raised consumer electronics prices: tablets +11.3%, computers +5.5%, mobile phones +1.0%, together adding roughly 0.03ppt to MoM CPI.
