AMD fell about 9% in after-hours trading after its revenue outlook disappointed some investors. The company guided Q3 revenue to $13.0bn +/- $0.3bn; analysts’ mean was $12.5bn but Bloomberg shows some Wall Street forecasts exceeded $13.0bn. Post-earnings weakness despite beats has become common for AMD. Shares have more than doubled this year as AMD has emerged as NVIDIA’s main challenger in AI processors. CEO Lisa Su told analysts she expects data-center revenue to "more than double" by 2027 and said the company could exceed its prior targets of 35% annual revenue growth and $20 EPS over the longer term.
