UK Maritime Trade Operations said a merchant vessel was attacked on the 3rd about 20 nm northeast of Seeb, Oman in the Gulf of Oman, near the eastern entrance to the Strait of Hormuz. UKMTO said it received a military report at 22:00 UTC on the 3rd (06:00 Beijing time on the 4th). The vessel reported via VHF that it had been struck by an unidentified projectile.
