On Aug 1 Turkey's Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources said state pipeline operator BOTAŞ and two Iraqi oil companies signed a one-year crude transport agreement. The deal allocates 750,000 bpd of the pipeline's capacity to Iraq; the pipeline's design capacity is 1.5m bpd. Iraq's prime minister Zaidi had earlier said during a visit he would supply 1m bpd to Turkey.
