Qingdao’s government-guided city commercial-insurance product Qindao eBao updated and began sales on July 1, 2026, adding 10 drugs from the national first commercial-insurance innovative-drug catalogue. Total special and rare-disease drugs covered rose to 33, including CAR-T and malignant tumor therapies. From July 1, 2025 to May 2026 Qindao eBao registered 8.48 mln policies, paid claims to 135,400 insureds totaling 936 mln yuan, of which specialty-drug payouts amounted to 108 mln yuan.
