Pollster Realmeter surveyed 504 South Korean adults on July 22. 63.7% said the planned introduction of single-stock leveraged ETFs was a "wrong decision" (41.2% "very wrong", 22.5% "generally wrong"); 19.0% said it was correct and 17.4% were unsure. 59.2% judged Korean financial regulators' supplementary measures announced on July 16 to be insufficient. Top-supported additional steps were limiting daily trade frequency (24.1%), sharply raising underlying margin requirements (22.2%), sharply raising minimum trading units (21.5%) and extending mandatory investor-education time (10.6%).
