KOSPI rose above 7,000 on the 23rd, advancing despite overnight U.S. stock weakness and higher oil on U.S.-Iran tensions, led by semiconductors, robotics and AI names. Market participants said continued AI infrastructure spending by global tech giants and bargain buying after earlier pullbacks supported the rally. Foreign investors were the primary force, net buying 213.4 bln won; retail and institutional investors net sold 65.3 bln won and 146.8 bln won, respectively. KOSDAQ opened up 1.65%; foreigners net bought 5.8 bln won while individuals and institutions net sold 5.0 bln won and 0.6 bln won.
