China’s National Healthcare Security Administration, ahead of the planned release of the disease-based payment (DRG/DIP) 3.0 grouping scheme, convened another consultation to solicit feedback. Participants included the National Health Commission Hospital Management Research Institute, the DRG/DIP technical guidance group, representatives from seven major hospitals (including Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Peking University People’s Hospital, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine and West China Hospital of Sichuan University), clinical staff, insurance experts and media representatives to refine pre-release communication and implementation details.
