Researchers at the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, led by Academician Li Yongfang and researcher Meng Lei, reported a certified steady-state power conversion efficiency of 28.04% for a perovskite–organic tandem solar cell, a world record for this device class. The result was published July 13 in Nature and marks an important step toward practical application.
