Press TV reported the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced it has closed the Strait of Hormuz until the United States stops interfering in the region. The IRGC said a vessel with its systems switched off attempted to transit via an unauthorized route and that Iranian forces struck the ship to prevent passage.
