A military source said on the night of the 26th at about 23:15 local time explosions were heard at the pier in the southern Iranian port city of Sirik after a projectile struck the quay area. The source said roughly five hours earlier Sirik-area forces had fired warning shots at vessels inside the Strait of Hormuz for rule violations.
