Japan's Nikkei 225 closed down 613.41 points (-0.88%) at 69,174.97 on Wednesday, June 24. South Korea's KOSPI swung intraday—rising more than 4% in early trade, briefly turning negative, then rallying to finish up 303.97 points (+3.71%) at 8,507.81. Samsung Electronics jumped nearly 10%; SK Hynix gained about 1%.
