HSI and the Hang Seng Tech Index fell more than 2% in afternoon trade. China Life (02628.HK) dropped over 7%; China Overseas Development (00688.HK), China Resources Land (01109.HK) and Longfor Group (00960.HK) were off more than 6%; Xinyi Glass (00868.HK), Ping An Insurance (02318.HK) and Lenovo Group (00992.HK) declined over 5%.
