The Baltic Dry Index fell for a third straight trading day, hitting a near one-month low as Capesize and Panamax rates eased. BDI dropped 17 pts, or 0.6%, to 2,653, its lowest since Apr 21. The Capesize index (BCI) fell 34 pts, or 0.9%, to 3,877, a more-than-two-month low; Capesize daily earnings fell $309 to $31,659. The Panamax index (BPI) declined 43 pts, or 1.9%, to 2,223, while Panamax daily earnings rose $384 to $20,009. The Supramax index (BSI) rose 20 pts, or 1.2%, to 1,705, and the Handysize index (BHSI) added 7 pts to 917.
