SpaceX’s Nasdaq debut executed smoothly, providing a blueprint for handling the much larger OpenAI and Anthropic IPOs expected later this year. The on-exchange offering was a record size — nearly three times the prior largest U.S. exchange IPO — and brokers, the exchange and market makers processed millions of client orders without major tech disruption. Morgan Stanley acted as the stabilization agent managing the open; Citadel Securities said retail participation in the IPO auction was the highest on record. Nasdaq CEO Friedman said participants coordinated and preparation was thorough.
