People familiar with the matter said SpaceX’s IPO has attracted subscription demand several times the shares on offer as the listing approaches. Underwriters told investors on Tuesday demand rose after management meetings and that orders have been building since Monday. Banks said institutional allocations will be concentrated with large pure long-only asset managers; several institutions each placed orders of about $10bn or more, the sources said.
