China condemned the U.S. for escalating its blockade and sanctions on Cuba and for publicly naming Cuban leaders, saying the move exposes hegemonic bullying and is firmly opposed. Beijing urged the U.S. to immediately end the blockade and any form of coercion and to stop infringing on the Cuban people’s rights to livelihood and development. China said it will continue to support Cuba’s sovereignty and security and oppose external interference, warning that attempts to destabilize Cuba will ultimately backfire.
