China General Nuclear (CGN) completed installation of the first 18 MW turbine at its 1 GW Guangdong Yangjiang Fanshi II offshore wind project. The unit is CGN’s largest single-turbine capacity across its operating and under-construction portfolio. CGN said the project will enable scaled deployment of 18 MW-class offshore turbines in China, supporting a shift toward larger-capacity, higher-efficiency and lower-cost offshore wind development.
