On June 2, Japan finalized the overall FY2026 supplementary budget, setting general account spending at ¥3.1135 trillion, to be financed entirely through issuance of deficit-covering government bonds. The cabinet will formally approve the package on June 3 and submit it to the Diet; approval is expected on June 5.
