Japan Meteorological Agency reported an M3.9 earthquake around 10:58 a.m. on May 31 in southern Amami, Kagoshima Prefecture. Maximum seismic intensity was 3 on the JMA scale, hypocenter depth 50 km. No tsunami risk.
