Axios reported on Thursday that AI chipmaker Groq Inc. is raising up to $650m from existing investors to form a new company, reportedly named Groq2, after striking a $20bn licensing deal with NVIDIA (NVDA.O). The new entity would pivot away from chip manufacturing to build AI neoclouds services.
