China has exported diesel and other fuel cargoes to Southeast Asia over the weekend despite earlier export restrictions, as the Middle East conflict disrupts regional energy supplies. Vessel-tracking data showed tankers Ding Heng 36 and Auchentoshan delivered over 260,000 barrels of diesel to the Philippines, while Great Ocean shipped about 100,000 barrels of distillates to Vietnam. The Philippines is preparing additional diesel imports amid a fuel emergency and shortages, with China accounting for more than half of its 158,000 barrels/day of gasoil imports this month. China had recently banned new overseas oil product sales to protect domestic supply, though some cargoes may have been cleared before the tightening.
