U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve fell 3.122 mln bbl last week to 286.6 mln bbl, the lowest level since November 1982 (270.455 mln bbl) and about 16.15 mln bbl above that record. At the four-week withdrawal pace of roughly 18.2 mln bbl, the SPR could reach a new low within a month if releases continue. Further depletion would likely heighten market sensitivity to ongoing Strait of Hormuz risks, including attacks on vessels and port shutdowns.
